Cannabis Infused Glycerin Tincture
Quick Crockpot Weed Infused Vegetable Glycerin Tincture

Fast to produce, low odor and potent, this tincture is perfect for using in candies or syrups. It does take a bit longer to make than alcohol tincture, however isn't quite as versatile (for example, you can't reduce it down to further to oil by simmering off the alcohol like you can with Dad's Tincture.) It's fantastic for dosing a few drops under the tongue when you can't take the burn of alcohol tinctures as it is sweet and syrupy.

Yield: 1/4 cup
87.5 mg per tablespoon
29 mg per teaspoon

  • 3.5 grams cannabis
  • 1/4 cup food-grade vegetable glycerin
Assemble Equipment
  1. Mason Jar with Lid
  2. Cheesecloth
  3. Crockpot
  4. Pyrex measuring cup with spout
  5. Pie pan
Decarboxylate Your Cannabis
  1. Preheat oven to 240 degrees
  2. Grind or chop your cannabis
  3. Put the weed in your jar and seal the lid. Place the jar on a pie plate in the oven for 60 minutes. Every 15 minutes, 'burp' the jar (carefully open the lid just enough to vent) in a ventilated area.
  1. Add the vegetable glycerin to the mason jar and seal. Place in crockpot and fill with water until it comes up to a little over halfway up the jar. Cook on the medium-high setting for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Strain. Store in a sealed, dark container in a cool dark place.
